Lindley's engagement story
My husband and I dated for almost 4 years before we got married and when we first started dating he had mentioned that he had a brother in Seattle and I told him that my grandfather had given me a Spece Needle statue when I was a child and I used to always pretend that I lived at the top of the Needle. When he proposed more than a year later, I had flown out to Seattle to visit him because he was staying with his brother for the summer. It was my first trip to Seattle and when he picked me up from the airport, he said he had a surprise for me and drove straight to the Needle. We went to the top and he got down on one knee with the ring and said "I know we won't be able to live right here like you dreamed about but I want us to live together for the rest of our lives." I was sold!
